Shah & Talati was assigned the design of PVC pipe factory in 2011. Finolex Management wanted a north light structure with RCC columns on periphery and steel columns inside the plant. On the periphery for ventilation a concrete grill was provided which has been used successfully by Finolex in their earlier plants. The PVC pipes is a seasonal business and hence Finolex wanted a large open storage area of about 15000 sqm for stacking pipes. Shah & Talati designed this entire area with access for trucks, drainage etc with careful consideration to cost.
